If you're having problems

Your ISP has likely cached the DNS records. Basically, you may still be looking at the old site. If it says TalkLFC offline, then that is what has happened.

Wait a bit and try again, it should eventually take you to the new server where the forum is open.

Pretty much there

Waiting for the domain name changes to propogate around the globe now. I've checked it through a proxy and it's working fine, so just waiting for the DNS to catch up.

Couple of things to wait for with the domain name, but the new server has the site there.

Nearly there

Couple of things to do, and hopefully get the domain name change right :) but we're almost there. So bear with us if we have any downtime and we'll see you on the other side!

Forums working on new server

Transferred the forums over and the database. Forums are working ok on the new server, some of our fair mods are testing as we speak.

Plan is as follows:

1. Finish testing forums.
2. Try and get main site working as well.
3. Close forum on old server.
4. Make DNS changes.
5. That's about it!

Of course, things are bound to go wrong, but all should be sorted out fairly soon.

Server move this weekend!

We're moving the talklfc site to a new server this weekend. This hopefully should give us a faster, more reliable forum and should end the connection problems some of you have been having. It should all run fairly smoothly, but it's a big job so you may problems connecting to the site for a short while. Keep checking back.

It's been a while coming, but as you know, the site is run by volunteers in their spare time. Thanks for bearing with us
